I could buy it if she was all "You're going to be impatient meanies? I'm almost finished writing, but it looks like I'll need another year of revisions . . ." Because it'd give her time to make changes where she could (because a retelling of the first book from another POV can only allow you so much leeway) but has less of the "I'm taking my toys and going home!" attitude.
