Something A Little More Personal Than A Quiz

It is now 8:07 a.m and I am writing this because I am awake. And yes, that dosn't seem like very early in the morning, but it is when you spend two hours trying to get to sleep the night before, and then were awakened at 6:30 by your smoke alarm, which was making that piercing "weep” noise until I cracked, got up, and and changed the battery. Then, by the time you get back into bed, even your hot water bottle is cold, so you have to put on your thermal socks and even when you toes are comfy you can’t get back to sleep, so you finally decide that you might as well be productive and start trying to figure out your new cell phone, proceeding to spend half an hour trying to change the wallpaper (you fail, and eventually give up) and then you get your laptop (pause for laptop love) and decide you might as well provide a distraction that will insure you don’t actually get out of bed until you would have anyway.

The only thing that really bugs me about this (cue sarcastic laughter) is that this evening I’m going to be hanging out with a friend, maybe for the last time before I got to college, and chances are by the time evening rolls around I’ll be all tired and tetcy.

I would have put that whole story behind cut-tags, but I can’t figure out that function.

On a completely different subject, does anyone know of a 10th Kingdom discussion group? I saw the mini-series when it first aired and recently downloaded it. I’m really enjoying it, having both remembered how good it was and forgotten enough that parts are still new, and would love to know of somewhere I could discuss it with other people. If you know of any good forums or fanfics, let me know.
