I was going to do this meme "If you have a current WIP, post five or more quotes of dialogue from any upcoming chapters, even if they aren't written yet. You may indicate which story and fandom the quotes are from, but nothing else, as you let your friends guess which character is speaking. If you wish, you may label the quote accordingly once it's been guessed. Or you may decline confirmation to draw out the suspense. It's up to you." (gacked from
rachelthedemon) Except that then I realized how little people in my fics are talking (this worried me - note to self, start writing dialogue - if you can't write what they would say... you're fucked, and lose your 'fanfic author' badge).
So, I'm just going to do classic 'Progress, What Progress'? Meme
Standing In The Ashes At The End Of The World (Sweet Jesus I love that title but it's hella long.)
This was why she had come here - if nowhere else in this world was steady ground beneath her feet, she could count on finding someone worth fighting in the Fire Nation.
Untitled 50 Sentence Thing:
05. Lack
Katara always knew Zuko lacked a lot of things: morals, compassion (a soul, maybe?) and it was no wonder his face keep reappearing in her nightmares.
Girls Paint Their Skins Like Corpses:
She grabbed Suki’s throat and pulled her up. “I’d play nice, kitten,” she whispered. “We’re going to be spending lots some time together.”
Booth Drabble (That needs actual, you know, stuff.):
Just once could she let him save her? Was that too much to ask?
I Dreamed I Saw Saint Augustine:
She looked as if she could control the ‘verse, weave the threads of time and fate, and again Inara had felt that tightness in her throat and thought, a woman’s voice sounding even in her head, I want that.
Respectfully, Yours
“You want a room?” he asked, bored.
Yaone croaked something, started coughing again, and nodded her head.
The desk clerk looked incredibly bothered by this occurrence.
“How many rooms?” he asked reluctantly.
Hakkai started towards the desk.
Yaone held up three fingers, and then handed him several slightly damp bills.
Forget-Me-Not
Zhi remembered sitting at the kitchen table, kicking her feet back and forth as she did her homework, remembered her mother sliding cool hands over her hair and telling her that she was such a smart girl, and she was going to do great things, and Zhi had known, even then, that her future was the reason Jianjing suffered the bruises and the derogatory remarks, and she’d bent back over her sums and promised herself that she wouldn’t let her mother down.
