Vote or Rail Tracer kills you dead.

Crazy hippy music class was a lot of fun, and I got to play Oysterband ("Where The World Divides" is love). Also, we were learning about new ways to teach students about math and spacial reasoning. (I wish desperately I had been taught math like this.) And I realized that I actually think algebra is fun. (You have no idea what an epiphany this is for someone who used to end up screaming at her mother with mother dearest taught me math.)

The downside of class was that the majority of my classmates are apparently incable of either a.) reading the syllabus or b.) having motivation.

They were basically telling her to give us more work on a tigher schedule because they wouldn't do it otherwise. Like, thanks for screwing up the people who are actually competant.

So, I'm current on HIMYM. I loved the episode from two weeks ago - spoilers )

Sing Hallelujah!

Obama won.

Oh, you guys, this is the first time I have ever felt honestly proud of my country.

Earlier today, I was at the gym, giving myself an ulcer back when it was Obama 3 McCain 8. I went to lift some weights, and came back to see Obama was in the lead.

Then, I went to anime club, where [livejournal.com profile] bellzooks  texted me updates, and when the text came... 'McCain concedes'. I.... I just turned the phone screen towards [livejournal.com profile] enderxenocide , and we just hugged each other so, so hard.

After anime club, I went and we danced around on the lawn (I believe I yelled something to the effect of "suck it McCain! This is what happens when you team up with the anti-christ!" and someone came by and went "Gojyo supports Obama?" to which I replied: "Hell yeah!")

Then I called my mom, and we were esctatic towards each other, and she told me Barak was giving his acceptance speech right now, so enderxenocide and I ran across campus to watch the end of his speech. After that, we went outside to see a host of people parading to Red Square, and we joined them. At the fountain we all cluttered around, yelling "YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!" and "OBAMA! OBAMA!" People were banging pots with spoons, banging pot lids together, one guy was blowing a counch shell.

After that, [livejournal.com profile] enderxenocide  and I (literally) skipped down the red brick road to eat celebratory cookies and ice cream with [livejournal.com profile] mzminola  and her brother.

I... my country did something good, you guys. After eight goddamned years of horrible policies, and tongue-tied presidents, and imperialist agendas... I can be proud of who stands for me, of who will be making policies in my name.

Go Obama.

Yes, we can.

(Also, from what I've seen thus far, it looks like the Democrats kicked ass in the senate.)
