...but something that happened last night brought it to my attention again.
I'm sure most of you know, I am always open to concrit (and if you didn't, I am always open to concrit).
What I am also always open to is corrections of my typos.
And God knows I make them.
I'm slightly dyslexic (yet I can spell that word) which means that I will regularly and repeatedly do things like drop the final T in 'thought', misspell 'behavior' (I want to put the I right before the R), and write 'where' for 'were' and versa vica.
This has resulted in some really, really embarrassing typos. Typos like spelling 'Gojyo' as 'Goyjo' in every. single. post for the first eight months I was in the Saiyuki fandom. (To let you know how much I talked about him for people who weren't on my flist when I was obsessed with that manga, I adore Gojyo approximately as much as I love Sai and talked about him accordingly.) Or as I realized last night, misspelling "summary" in every single fic post I have ever made in this journal.
(Yeah, I spent the hours between 4:08 am and 5:15 am this morning fixing those errors. I was already up for other reasons.)
Both of those were mistakes I only realized when someone else commented on them.
So if you ever see a typo in my headers, tags, or the post itself, please, please, please tell me.
I will be so grateful for the chance to fix it. I do better proof-reading my own work than I used to, but I need to print it out to give it a really good proofreading, which I never do with lj posts. Don't even not tell me if I've flubbed up because you want to be nice - the nicest thing you can do is let me know.
