Hello There Katniss

 One thing that I kept forgetting to mention is how, in this age of pretty damn sexualized YA covers, The Hunger Games has a very minimalistic (see icon, mentally remove the text). Especially considering that in the second book, Katniss spends a not inconsiderable amount of time( spoilers for Catching Fire )

Give that, I was curious to see how foreign covers portrayed her, and was quite pleased:

Doesn't she just look incredibly badass? Seriously, she looks like she's about the complete in the Triwizard Tournament.... and totally own Harry Potter's ass. Also, be sure and check out the UK official site.... that's where I found this icon and they have wallpapers and such.

I also stumbled across some great fanart here - my favorite is the picture of her in the tree.

Looking down the barrel of a three-day weekend, I feel the need to get my lj on, despite the paper that is due on Monday (even though I don't have school).
