(Also, Kakashi is totally not going to die, because that would be dumb on so very many levels. Plus, there was that whole last tagline the the ellipses. If Kishimoto is completely on crack, however, and one half of my OTP bites it, I am going to kill something so very dead.)

Either Kakashi is going to use the last bit of chakra he has to pull off a mangenkyou (sp?), or someone comes over and saves his ass preferably Sakura, like Yamato.

As a fellow comrade in fandom, I admit that you have some mighty scary accurate concerns thar, and I would like to express my agreement with many points you raise, but assert that it will be okay in the end, and that I'm sure Kakashi's okay.

I'm actually feeling quite positive about this. I just hope it's Sakura who saved his ass, since she didn't have much role yet (aside from killing a giant centipede and healing people), considering she's farking one of main characters. I'm gonna flip if it's Iruka, or some other really minor characters.

But then again, throughout Naruto, Kakashi's always getting hospitalized and he always has to recover for some time. If he dies I swear I'll be ranting like hell, because as you said, Kishimoto has NO reason why he should kill Kakashi. No one would benefit from his death. I can't see anyone 'growing' after his death, because they've already 'grown'.

Maybe if his editor reminds him how dangerous it would be if he would kill Kakashi (death threats from fans, hate mails and packages, etc etc LOL), he'd kick the stupid part of his brain out. *prays like hell*

I can't believe I'm so nervous about this. Kakashi is NOT an acceptable death, Kishimoto. If Sakura saves him though, that would make everything all right.

...and now I'm sort of sad that I read all these comments, because they have me really hoping Sakura WILL save him, and the likelihood of that is...mmm...probably zero.

I'll just be over here, chewing my nails into stubs until next week.
