A have decided to share a picspam with you - the shippiest scene in recent memory, from Naruto episode 81:

First, Sakura is brooding in the rain, wondering if this is truly the most boring training sequence in Naruto (it is) or if she's being punished for something (only for being female) when suddenly the rain stops....

....because Sai has drawn them a little ink umbrella and is holding it over her.

I have no commentary for the cuteness that is that line. Also, I would totally trade fic for an icon of them standing together.

Sakura: I'm just worrying over the fact that we've apparently entered a dimension during which time has no meaning.
[livejournal.com profile] redbrunja : tell me about it.

Sai tries to cheer her up, because even after Root did its best to quash all emotion out of his soul, he knows that girls are much more likely to put out if they're happy.

But Sakura is uncheered, because she knows that in anther arc Naruto will be stealing her signature power and will probably end up marrying Sasuke and getting the white dress she always dreamed of.

Sai looks at her.

And looks at her.

And stares at her mouth some more. I can't emphasize how long this scene went on, with Sai just staring at her lips, and I want to drag everyone who thinks Sai thinks Sakura is ugly over to this and make them watch it, because, I am sorry, you do not just stare at the mouth of someone you think is unattractive. You just don't.

Sai's all "I have been instructed in the ways of smiling deviously by Kyouya.... do you feel the need to fall to your knees and worship me yet?"

Seriously, worship the pretty.

Sai: well, she punched me the last time I insulted a teammate.... I really hope I can get her to do that again.

'cause Sai understand the hotness that is Sakura punching people and you totally know he's a bit of a machicist.

Sakura decides to main a tree instead of a teammate. Kakashi would be so proud. Although, he'd probably prefer she take out the competition, you know?

Sakura makes tree sorry that it was around when Sai was shooting off his mouth.

And Sai is back staring at her mouth while she speaks poinards, and ever word stabs.

....besides that his penis is tiny? Because we all know that!

Sai: Sakura, I thought we were saving that for the bedroom.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] enderxenocide  pointed out that even as he edges away, he keeps the umbrella over her. I'm a sucker for people who take care of others without having it come off as a lack of respect.

And the above screencap would also make a good icon. I'm just saying.

Sakura: You brought me yaoi? Maybe you do have potential.

Sakura: Well, I certainly know what I'm going to be doing what Naruto is all like, 'blah, blah, woe is me, let's train dramatically in the rain.'

I'd like to note that Sai gave her the umbrella before scampering off.

...Sakura watches him go....

And Sakura continues watching with this sort-smile on her face.

Oh, OTP.

I haven't gotten this good of fanservice since Zuko was rolling around on the floor with Katara and going off to commit bloody revenge at her side.

I fear for Life. They've moved it opposite House. It's one of those shows that has an almost ethereal quality, which means it might be as doomed as Pushing Daisies, which ABC cancelled tonight.

*sad face*

I know a lot of people who are going to flip out about that.

And I'm just thrilled that ABC moved Life from Friday at 10, which was the same as putting a stake in it's heart right away.

And word about the music. I'm going to end up buying Gram Rabbit's album, solely on the strength of 'Devil's Playground'.

Yeah, Life is one of the best reasons to have an iPhone. There's a cool program called Shazam; you hold the phone up, sample the music, and it tells you the artist, album and track. From there, it's a one-touch iTunes purchase. I bought the Gram Rabbit album before the song ended. Would you like me to send it to you?

Thanks, but iTunes does this thing to protect copyright where you can't give legal music to other people.

There's a way to unlock it; I already unlocked this and sent it to you through yousendit.com. You'll get an email notice from yousendit. Just download it from the link and see if it works.

Oh, thank you so much! I got the email, and it worked great.

You're welcome. If you ever want to share iTunes music, just burn a music cd and then import the songs from that cd. That strips the protection.

I may not be remembering this correctly, but I think when I was scouring your fanfiction postings you were asking about making zip files on a Mac? If that's right and you still need to know, just select a folder of whatever you need to compress from the Finder, then go to File > Create Archive. That'll create a self-extracting zip file.

Okay, thanks for the tip.

And yeah, I was wondering about that. A little bit after I posted, I watched a friend make an archive on her mac and was astonished - so simple! So easy! this is why I spent the extra money to have a Mac!
