Dear Flist,

KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE GUILT AND UNHAPPINESS, OKAY?

I mean, I know the December is a traditionally suicidal month but seriously.

Unless you have recently killed someone or kicked a puppy, there is no need for all the guilt.

You are all awesome, awesome people, and I am sick of seeing so posts about how you feel guilty for asking for things for Christmas or think you're a horrible person or think your flist is ready to cut you lose et cetera, et cetera.

Please, take a moment to inhale deeply, calm down, and realize the awesomeness that is you.

Now I'm going to get back into my bed and brood over how crappy I feel and the script I need to finish tonight.

Love,
Red.

My cousin-in-law said that when he was applying and being tested for being a San Jose firefighter, they outright asked him if he'd ever kicked a dog or cat.

I think that kind of question says a lot about the work environment you'll be entering, don't you?

And if you had-- would you lie? Or be honest? "The fleaball chewed my couch pillows for the last time! Anybody woulda done it."

Oh, lie, no question.

Or say it was an accident.
