Best of the batch: "Atropine", "Put Me On Display", "Jester"

Most underappreciated by the universe: "Bite" (What, no Karin love?), all the Anko fics I wrote, and "Socially Happy".

Honestly, though, while I'm surprised that "Bite" got so little response, I'm not terribly surprised that the majority of fandom doesn't understand the awesomeness that is Anko/Iruka and Anko/Itatchi.

I'm still a wee bit bitter that "Socially Happy" lost on naruto_contest , though.

Most fun to write:

"Nicely Please" freaking wrote itself, and was my fuck-you to all those 'no means yes' fics.

"I'll Take You Were The Water's Deep" was also fun, something I wrote one weekend between studying.

"You May Refer To Me As God" was a kick to right and I still stand by Tsunade's reaction to the Kakashi/Sakura relationship.

Sexiest fic: "Jester", "That Which Yields" and I think Treating Your Heaven Like A One-Night Stand" should be one here, simply because that was me trying to writing awkward!sexy sex.

"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic: I didn't really hit heights of kink, this year. *sad face* The closest in the kinda non-con Ino/Karin I wrote.

Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Didn't really happen this year. It was all perceptions that meta or the fandom itself shifted and then was reflected in my fics.

Hardest fic to write: "Atropine" was a challenge, both because of the length, the time limit I had, and how much I was trying to say in such a short space. Also, I love how all my longer possible futures are jossed so very immediately. The same thing happened with "Where No Roads Are Marked"

Biggest disappointment: Avatar. I can look at the dates and see the exact month when dodging spoilers and being irritated with fandom sent me seeking greener (or at least less irritating pastures) and I know that had fandom hated Katara less or if I'd liked the finale more, there would have been a lot more fic written.

Biggest surprise: Naruto. The 12 kakasuku fanfics I wrote. I still remember smiling smugly at enderxenocide , having no doubts that I would never inflict that joys and WTFery of Naruto on myself. Oh, how the mighty fall.

Most telling fic: "Jester" and "Fireflies". "Jester" says so much about Jiraiya and the Tsunade/Jiraiya relationship, as well as worshipping at the alter of "Tsunade is the goddamned Hokage". "Fireflies" is my dark expectations for how the finale ending relationships in Avatar would play out.

Year-end squee: It's not reflected on this, because it's a fanfic meme, but I actually wrote a good amount of original fic, which I'm pleased about.

Predictions: We'll find out what kind of legs Naruto has, determine whether Soul Eater has problems that I need to 'fix' with fandom, see what new fandom grabs my attention. In short: I have no clue, but fanfic will be written.

Wow! That is quite the impressive list of ficcage! Awesome. I'm looking forward to reading these--especially the Tsunade, Anko, and Sakura/Ino stuff. The Karin, too.

I read a lot of your stuff before I started memorizing things. Took me forever to find "Nicely Please" because I didn't know the name. I'd say it's my favorite, but there's too many to conclusively pick one.
