This friday's fannish5 was 'List your 5 favorite unrequited love stories.' Which, I honestly couldn't even thing of ONE. I'm a sucker for HEA, I don't like endless unresolved pining? So I did five of my favorite crushes, which were all unrequited at some point, although many being reciprocated later.

5.) Jin on Zuko. (Seriously, when was the last time you saw any animated girl just ask a guy out that calmly? And she totally gave the feeling that if he said no, omg, her life as she knows it wouldn't end. Also, I needed at least one girl on this list.)

4.) Sai crushing on Sakura. (And he totally, totally is. I firmly believe that he calls her Hag because it's the reverse of pretty, and then there's the times he totally cock!blocks her feeding Naruto ramen by hand....)

3.) Luke crushing on Lorelai.

2.) Wesley crushing on Fred. (Wah, Fred!)

1.) Jiraiya crushing on Tsunade.

Wesley and Fred. That brings back memories! I wish that show wouldnt have ended as abruptly as it did. :/

Jiraiya and Tsunade still makes me BAWW. T_T

And youre totally right about Sai crushing on Sakura. He has been since the day he met her. If I remember right, the first thing he ever said to her was "I like bitchy girls like you". Calling her ugly or hag comes from Shikamaru's dumb ass telling him that girls only ever want to hear the opposite of what you really think. Of course we know that he meant "when they look fat, tell them theyre beautiful" sort of thing, but Sai being Sai, took it literally. Notice also that he calls Ino beautiful. ;)

Yeah, I think if Joss had know that he was going to have that little time to end the show, he would have done something different with them. Maybe not, though, he does hate relationships that end well.

And Jiraiya and Tsunade are the best romantic relationship Kishimoto ever wrote.

And Sai is SO crushing on Sakura. I love how SHE was the one who came out to ask him about his paintings and not Naruto, with his crazy ninja powers of friendship. ^_^

Notice also that he calls Ino beautiful. ;)

I do, and in my head, that is a brutal dig at her features the neither Ino nor Sakura cottons on to.
