read and liked Azula/Haru, Azula/Hahn, and sort-of liked Azula/Katara, except that in that I though Katara was played as far too passive.

You know, I've never really saw a really serious Azula/Haru fic ever. I mean, I see fanart of them together in a slightly satirical "OTP FOREVAR!!!11" fashion, but nothing else. Have any recs of that?

Azula will just play around with Hahn, and then destroy him. (Almost like she nearly did to Zuko, befoer he managed to get his senses together before it was too late.)

And I'll probably get flamed for saying this, but every time I look at Katara/Azula I see two girls who very similar to each other. Not only they are gifted benders, but they are also the type who have their strength shown through the power to influence other people. Katara manages to rally up imprisoned Earthbenders to regain their freedom while Azula provides the Dai Li leadership to not only to overthrow the Earth King, but she convinces them that they are better off with her because she is an important member of a royal family who will eventually rule the entire world. Azula is incredibly tenacious in her own climb to power while Katara is just as so as to maintain the intergty of the Gaang. Both girls are very adaptive in battle, both have past issues with their respective mothers and having somewhat akward love lives (more to Azula than Katara, if you want to include Aang).

Unfortunately, as awesome as they sound in my head, I just don't think they would go well together. Azula is just too broken to really maintain any good relationship.

I've heard a lot of people talking about Sokka/Azula, and while that scene in DoBS was awesome, I don't thing that Sokka closer to his typical baseline would work with Azula at all, and Sokka is so passionate that I can't see him staying angry for long enough to have angry sex with Azula. Does that make sense?

It does. Sokka is a lot more forgiving than Katara even though he is more pessimistic than she is. And I firmly believe that if he saw Azula's breakdown after she lost the Agni Kai, I think he would be more disturbed at Azula's reaction than Aang would be at the thought of taking somebody's life. And now he has Suki back and safe, I think he wouldn't stay angry at Azula for very long. He has deceived others (Wan Shi Tong, anyone?) in the past in order to win the war that is detrimental to his tribe's survival and he understands that.

Also, people keep on saying that if Avatar wasn't a kids show, then Sokka would have totally killed Azula at the spot. I say, no, he wouldn't. He's angry and scared for Suki at the time, but he wouldn't go into a total illogical breakdown and just kill Azula. Unless you are Gil Grisson, corpses won't tell you anything.

I agree. It's their morals and their motives that are different.

Also, people keep on saying that if Avatar wasn't a kids show, then Sokka would have totally killed Azula at the spot. I say, no, he wouldn't.

Why would Sokka do that? He's not dumb. MAYBE he would have hit her, but Sokka's a.) a good guy and b.) smart enough to know that you don't kill your source of information.
