QC & Leverage (Hardison & Marin Would Get Along)
I'm caught up with Questionable Content, so if anybody wants to talk about anything about it, I'm game. To start off, Dora's brother is a total dick. Like, how before he got into Faye's pants he pulled all this 'I'm changing my ways' crap on her, before reverting to his dickhead self the minute he got her hooked.
Also, I love Hannalee.
I also finished the first season of Leverage, which I really really liked.
I was SO thrilled that Sophie was going after her own interests - or at least, had her own agenda in with Nate's. One of the hardest things about this season for me was watching Sophie give Nate signal after signal that she was interested while he went '...' By the end of the series I just wanted her to have sex with Eliot and forget about whatever UST caper-chases she used to have with Nate.
Also, Hardison and Parker, as always we're adorable. "Let's see how hard you look."
I think overall, my favorite episodes were The Bank Shot Episode with all the incredibly satisfying comeupence and the episode with the Russian mafia, for how badass Parker got to be, and her lovely lovely backstory. Not to mention Haridson blowing shit up.
Also, has anyone else noticed how Hardison is totally the mama bear of the show? He's the one setting up the offices and doing all the home-making, and he's the one how gets all upset when people come in and fuck with his shit. I ADORED his 'get out of my house' in the finale.

And best part? She's a wombat. How many writers do you know that will write a wombat as the leading character?

Of course, before that, she'll probably do something with him ( http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1363 ).
Today's comic (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1366): tentacles ftw?
I loved the season finally the best, myself. I think my favorite scene was Nate's bif "Fuck you" to the bad guy whose name I forget. That's some badassery. I loved the get out of my house thing too, and Sophie's rescue of Parker.
That show makes me squee.

Sophie's rescue of Parker was very, very badass.

Oh, good, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Hannalore is the human version of a raccoon in someways. Crazy and obsessive about dirt. I adore her, and her reaction to realizing that she was giving the guys panty-shots. And the fact that fireman are sweaty. XD

Huh... that's weird because I didn't get that vibe from him in the storyline. (I'll go back and read it again.) I'd read him as quite honest about his non-monogamous beliefs from the start, and that the changes in his life were what Faye attributed to it, rather than the reality.
That said, I think that Faye does mean more to him than he'd like to admit, since he a) did not actively pursue other women, b) only slept with Gina because she came onto him first, and c) although he broke no promise of monogamy to Faye, and therefore technically wasn't unfaithful, he found the encounter with Gina to be unfulfilling.
I also think any guy who wants to be with Faye needs a helluva strong ego to be able to stand up to her bitchiness. So I'm still cheering for Sven.

Yes! And the kitten pictures.
For me, I felt like Sven was really selling his 'I'm changing, I'm not into random sex anymore, I'm turning down women' BEFORE he and Faye started hooking up, and then after, he was going 'no monogamy, no monogamy'. So I think it was unconscious, and I agree that he has more feelings for Faye than he realizes - but part of HER deal for that relationship is that if he slept with other women she'd leave, so I really want her to stick by her guns with that.

And then when asked what was on her mind she just says, "Nothing..."
Hmmm... I see your point of view, and why we interpret it differently. You saw Sven's rejection of random sex as a decision to try monogamy or something like that. I saw it as a sign that he wanted something more stable, but was still too commitment-shy to admit to wanting a stable relationship. #1307 pretty much outlines where they stand, and even the artist says, "Sven is a dick."
Funny part is... if Faye stands her ground, she may well be the first woman that Sven ever breaks his rules for and actually chases. *toonks them both on the head with a cardboard wrapping paper tube for being idiots*

She kind of already is. I mean, when she was like, 'you're an ass, I don't want to hang out with you' he really made an effort to change her mind.

Good point. Though I've noticed that all of their intimacy takes place with Faye going to Sven's apartment... effectively she's entering his territory, his comfort zone.
I think it's a damn fine thing that Sven be uncomfortable for a while. Take the edge off his ego. XD

I absolutely adore the entire cast, particularly Parker. Watching her break in and steal the First David was just awesome, and I loved where Sophie's character arc went. I found it particularly interesting that Eliot was particularly angry with Sophie - oddly, I think loyalty means more to him than the others, and such, betrayal means a lot more. Nate's confession to Maggie - who was fantastic and who I really want to see return - was utterly heartbreaking. "If you looked at me the way I look at myself in the mirror, I'd blow my brains out."
I can't wait for season 2 of this.
On that note, have you seen Lie to Me? It's about a private group who studies deception detection and minute facial cues to assist various clients, private, military, or federal. It's not an original idea, but it is an original execution, and it's just really, really well done. I'm willing to sell it to you if need be - I genuinely think you'd love it.

*nods* That actually made me think he was originally in some kind of military, where disloyalty is Just Not Okay In Any Situation.
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to watching season two with the rest of fandom. ^_^
