Pairings: Ishida/Orihime
Summary: Ishida's not really sick.

Orihime was an excellent, if nontraditional, nurse.

Ishida wished she'd let him alone to wallow.

But no, she'd insisted on coming over before school and making him tea and letting him know that there was chicken-leek soap in the fridge whenever he was hungry and did Ishida-kun have enough tissues? And cough drops? And orange-pineapple juice?

And then after school let out she was back, laying cool, wet wash clothes across his forehead and threading her oh so deliciously chilly fingers between his.

He mumbled something about if he was actually sick his father would be here, no need to put herself out, and Orihime just hummed a little ditty and Ishida almost broke, almost told her that she should leave, she was getting his hopes up, that when she was sitting by his bedside he could delude himself into thinking that she cared about him, really, really cared, the way he cared for her.

But he wasn't quite feverish enough to do something so stupid.

That's so precious! <333 I so badly want that for him! I can almost see him laying there and blushing under his covers from even being alone in the same house as Inoue, much less being cared for by her. Then suddenly, she surprises him out of his dream world with the cool cloth and petting his hair. It's just so sweet! =D
