Unpopular Fandom Opinions

This meme is going around my flist again, so here are some of my unpopular multi-fandom opinions:

1.) I long to punch Toni DiNozzo. The thought that NCIS might besetting up a relationship between him and Ziva (so I hear through the grapevine) makes me want to retch.

2.) Not only did I like Max, I think Jessica Alba is a good actress.

3.) I like Keira Knightly too.

4.) I liked Dollhouse but I'm sorry it was renewed.

5.) I think Spirit is both terribly unsexy and a horrible father.

6.) Star Trek Reboot is neither as progressive or as reactionary as you think it is.

7.) Aang trying to kiss Katara in EIP was problematic - but not unforgivably so. What was unforgivable was the way it never got mentioned again.

8.) I hate Sai/Karin. I can't even fully articulate way.

9.) 9>10 in Doctor Who

10.) I think the original FMA anime is better than the manga.

Stein>Spirit, no question.

Deidara/Ino, whose only supporting argument that I've seen is that they have similar hair.

Well, they WOULD be hot together.....

There is something off about how the humor works in the FMA manga, imho.

They look hot together, it's true, but I dunno about chemistry-wise. Maybe it's just because I've become smitten with Deidara/Temari recently (which to me, feels like a rougher around the edges Deidara/Sakura in that she grounds him a bit better than Ino does, plus he gets off on her angry and violent side.)

Yeah, the humor does feel a little off in the FMA manga.

See, in a lot of ways I think Ino and Deidara would be too much alike. I like contrast in my pairings, visual and personality wise.

It does - there are dramatic scene that that mangaka will make comedic, and it really threw me out of the story.

Yeah, that's exactly why I feel like it doesn't really work, their personalities are too similar.

Balancing humor and drama can be tricky, and I agree that it just wasn't done as well in the manga.

And that is one of the things that draws me to a work of fiction, so when it's off, I really notice.
