The Only Couple In The Park That Doesn't Have To Fear Muggers
So, my mom and I are giving Gargoyles a rewatch. It's almost as good as Avatar in the made-for-children, good-enough-for-adults way and I remember an insane amount of detail from when I first watched it at eight. Like, I remember specific scenes in great detail. It's really fun watching it with my mother, who has quite the eye for little details. "Why doesn't he just through that guy off the castle? Why do all the bad guys keep missing when they shoot?" Me: "Children's cartoon mom, children's cartoon.

Name your favorite character's five favorite books.
I picked Hatake Kakashi, because he was the easiest of my favorite characters to come up with favorite books for. I would do Sumire, but I don't know enough of Japanese literature and pop culture to do her justice.
5.) Lady Chatterley's Lover by DH Lawrence
4.) The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien
3.) That really good book about the Vietnam triage nurse that I read at least five times but can't remember the exact title and amazon is being unhelpful.
2.) Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie
1.) Icha Icha Tactics by Jiriaya
Dishonorable mention: Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. This was the most terrifying book Kakashi has ever read and made him beyond grateful that Sasuke never loved Sakura back, that Sakura went to the Fifth for training and that none of them lived in Rain country.

Me, too. But after a week of having to step OVER a sleeping copy ninja in the hallway (which is veeeery tricky to do when a little toasted) Genma finally conducts an intervention and forces them to sit down and talk. He explains, very calmly, to Sakura that obviously Kakashi was just kidding. He's too terrified of her to EVER seriously think of cheating on her. And he tells Kakashi, very sternly, that while it's perfectly naturally for both parties to give a stranger the occasional once over... you don't fucking say "well, there's an easy way to fix the problem of your horniness" with a straight face.
Kakashi then goes on to elaborate that what he meant by easy solution was for Kurenai and Anko to go home to their respective lovers and solve it THAT way, not that HE wanted to take them both on. He had enough trouble just keeping up with Sakura.

Oh, Genma, way to be an adult. ^_^

For me, Sakura can be with: Kakashi, Sai, Yamato, Ino or Gaara for non crack relationshipst. I've been swayed through conversation and fic plotting by goldengrimoire on SasoSaku (which has some SERIOUS fuck uppery potential to it) and I'm still rather, "eh" when it comes to ItaSaku. It's not bad, but I don't actively seek out fic for them. If it's recc'd, then sure.
Well... Genma WAS one of the moderators for the chuunin exam. It'd make sense for him to moderate a spat between two friends... especially if it meant not having to come downstairs to find Kakashi shaving with a kunai and a mirror he stole from Sakura's compact. Because other than letting him in to get clothing and a few toiletries... Sakura does NOT want him in the apartment.

It's cuttingly in character for both Deidara and Sakura and is my canon for them. Bonus points? It is the one Atakuki captures Sakura for nefarious purposes that I think works.
As for Itachi/Sakura.... I used to have a 'I'll read it if it's there' attitude until I realized that not even authors I otherwise like write it in character.

Oh, it totally would. And I really like the idea of Kakashi having to shave with kunai in the hallway.

And to make it even worse for Kakashi... he doesn't have his wallet on him, so the only way he can do his laundry is if he "accidentally" tosses it in with Yamato's at the laundromat.

If ONLY he had been tapping hot widow ass, Kurenai wouldn't be sexually frustrated and Sakura wouldn't be annoyed with me right now. Pass the laundry soap.
Also, please tell me what you think of the fic - if you like it, there is an awesome sequel as well.
