When the male romantic lead buys the heroine exactly the item she is longing for. Yes, it's totally cliche. Yes, most of the time there is a voice in my head going 'but how did he know which particular piece of jewelry she was looking at? What happens if he ends up buying the really ugly necklace right next to the bracelet she's always wanted?' but every damn time a writer goes that route there is a part of me that melts like chocolate in a hot car.
Which means that despite knowing it was coming since the first three minutes of the episode and despite the fact that the necklace itself is rather too blunt for Blair (bells and a heavy heart? really?) I was wibbling.
In other news of note, I'm happy Rufus got laid but I am already counting the episodes until Mommy Humphrey splits. For the second time.
