1. 5 TV shows you watched from the very start (that may or may not have gotten better).I cannot think of even ONE tv show that I watched from the beginning (like, saw the first episode before it aired, kept watching). Pretty much every show I’ve ever watched has involved me finding about it after it’s been airing for a while and/or already been canceled. The exceptions are Alias (which I watched the pilot and the first couple of episodes when it was first airing and then my mom made me stop watching and I later watched in college) and Wonderfalls (which I watched from the pilot until it was canceled, three episodes later.
2. what playlists do you have on your phone/media player/mp3 player etc?About a billion. The ones of interest to you, dear reader, is that I have several fannishly specific ones:
I Learned Love From Sacrifice (MCU, heavy on Natasha-centric songs)
Beautiful Car-Crash Of A Boy (Clint Barton)
Soul Eater (Soul Eater)
Four Elements (Avatar)
Alias (songs played on Alias)
Veronica Mars (ditto)
I also have several playlists for individual writing projects and then a bunch of other playlists that are basically like songs grouped together for ease of listening.
3. favourite tumblr tags (that you have on your tumblr).two master assassins in love, which I also use on livejournal, and r
ed room romance, for stuff relating to Natasha/Bucky. Most of my other tags are either ‘fandom name’ or ‘stock’ or ‘hell yes’ for pretty people.
4. IS BREAKING BAD REALLY THAT GOOD? I MEAN. REALLY?Since I don’t watch it, I wouldn’t know.
5. something you can't stand but everyone else loves (be it food, a tv show, a ship etc).BBC Sherlock. Slash. Coconut. Bananas.
6. do you regularly quote any catch phrases from pop culture? (e.g. "he is terrible face wise")I regularly quote pop culture (in fact, for years, trying to stump each other with quotes from movies or tv was the game my mom and I played whenever where were bored) but I wouldn’t say I’ve adopted any consistent catch phrases.
7. a song you never get tired of.So many. Too many to list.
8. something from etsy you really want but can't afford.I say away from etsy. And we were just talking about my consistent case of fannish buyer’s remorse.
9. a fandom you wished was bigger/had more fanworks.I’d get slapped if I suggested that the Avengers fandom needed to be any bigger but I’d really like the fanficcers with a deft touch for fucked up people in love to start writing for Clint and Natasha again. Because it’s been a long, long time since I’ve read a deliciously dark, explicit-as-fuck fanfic for those two. Lately it’s all been sunshine and babies and Winter Soldiers. Or, you know, in-character gen where they’re platonic. Seriously, the most
‘oooooh,’ Clint/Natasha I recently read was (nonconsecutively) about six paragraphs as a background pairing in a Steve/Bucky fanfic that I read. THINK ABOUT THAT SENTENCE FOR A MINUTE, PEOPLE. THINK ABOUT EVERYTHING IT IMPLIES.
10. a tv show you're one going to watch, ONE DAY.I’ve watched the first three episodes of Friday Night Lights. That’s as far as I’ve gotten. I’ve tried to watch Farscape twice, and don’t understand why I don’t love it.
11. Three tropes you love.Using sex to block out emotional pain while being in denial about how much the person you're with means to you.
Ruthless, violent, competent women and the more emotionally open badass men who love them.
Friends to lovers. (Actually, I would love a really good friends-to-lovers story at the moment.)
(Anyone who enjoyed reading this meme should totally do it themselves, switching out questions they found dull for questions they actually want to answer.)
