Dead Beat is just about my least favorite Dresden Files and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. All I know is that after the epic Harry/Murphy conversation and Bob being scary as fuck it's one long slog until RESURRECTED TYRANNOSAURUS REX! Plus, Luccio being amazingly badass, Rameriez being hysterical, and Morgan being himself. In retrospect, knowing that Morgan is in love with Luccio makes that whole scene where she's switched into the younger body even more intense. I'm still pissed Morgan is dead. I wanted to see him and Harry being buddy cops more! We needed more time for Luccio/Morgan and Morgan appreciating Molly's assets and snarking about what she has and hasn't learned! (Note how the last three sentences aren't even about the book at hand?)
