Barney has trained himself not to fall asleep after sex. It was so he could slip out, afterwards.

With Robin, now that he doesn't have to, he finds that he still doesn't drop off to sleep, even when Robin is sprawled out faintly snoring next to him.

What's really wrong about being bored and awake and listening to Robin breath at 4:00 am is the fact that he's happy.
