I am still disappointed the John Scott was loyal, instead of a traitor who truly loved Olivia. The latter option is just so much more interesting.

I never understood that reveal. They didn't actually explain anything that happened in the actual first episode--not him murdering the suspect, or wanting the substance when the government didn't know about it, or trying to kill her with his car. Suddenly he's loyal without any actual explanation of his actions? I'm kinda at a loss.
