It think so - especially when it's not just age, but geography. I seem to remember that I have someone one my flist who's in Europe but I could be wrong about that. Anyway, it's just so awesome that you can connect with people by intrest, and for someone who's only lately started finding people my age interesting... I fit in nicely, if I do say so myself.
