Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.

(Bonus points if you do not specify a Naruto fic I did not write. Internet cookies if you choose some of my more obscure fandoms. Not that you have to, of course. If we only have one big fandom in common or you really want to hear about a fic I didn't write in that fandom, it's totally fine.)

Last line: Snow dropped the bloodstained shovel.

It was a pain in the ass having to reread Fables to get the voices right, but getting to write the incredibly self-indulgent ax vs shovel fight made up for it.

Why this almost didn't get posted: I wrote this on a zip drive that got wipe, and had to rewrite all of it.
