Sorry, no brownie icons. But looking at the ones chomiji and sureasdawn procured is making me hungry...
As for topics, I've recently discovered Avatar: TLA, and I swear it's the best American children's cartoon in YEARS. I love that it doesn't shy away from good plot for fear of upsetting parents (Sokka gets high on FUCKING PEYOTE in one episode. Accidently. BUT STILL a cartoon character on American television was shown TRIPPING. To me, that speaks to a great degree of artistic freedom in the series). The gender dynamics are great. And I love how I can't categorize the setting. It's some strange, wonderful place between mythology, anime-fantasy, and even steampunk in some places. And the animation has had WAY more work put into it than most other American cartoons. And thanks to you, I shipped Zutara before I knew who they were. Long story short, I love it.
So, as per the natural progression of events, I'm looking for good fic now. The fandom is notoriously wacko, and a brief glance at FF.net told me that sifting through pages upon pages seemed like a lost cause...do you have any recs?
BTW, I've already read yours, and they are VERY GOOD, very short but extremely powerful ^_^
