Mmmmmmmm, no brownie icon, but I can offer a cappucino to go with one! :D
Funny, I just came back from the store and bought some yummy mini brownies to hold me over until I work up the nerve to try and bake a strawberry cheesecake XD
That cappucino looks delicious! (Although I have the admit, the cappucino I really love are the ones you get from gas-station machines. You know, that are basically hot coffee ice cream?)
What prompted you to make strawberry cheesecake?
So, what do you want to talk about?
Life? The Universe? Everything? If I had a good topic in mind, my post would have been less scattered. ^_^
I love cappucino! With the whipped cream and cinnamon of course! Hah! It's been a while since I've had one from a gas station, but yeah, yum!
I've been getting back into cooking and baking lately- I feel like I want to have more options about what to feed people when they visit, and spend less of that kitchen time consulting cookbooks XD I also need to whittle my collection down a bit, and chuck the crappy recipes and keep just the good, tasty, and pretty ones :DD
Cheesecake is one that I can use any kind of fruit topping for, so it's pretty handy to know :DD
Hmmmmm.. I did put the Black Lagoon anime on my 'must watch' list! I recently posted a discussion on awesome heroines and the vid clips recced to me were amazing! Check out the post if you have some time? XD Besides Revy, who's your favorite from the cast?
I love creamy, sweet coffee, which has the extra advantage of usually being pretty cheap (I get drip and then doctor the living hell out of it.)

Me too! I getting ready to have my own place (with the next 6 months, like) so I'm realizing all the cookbooks/recipes/basics (flour, mixing bowls) that I don't have.
Sadly, I do not have a brownie icon, dear. Sorry about that. I could try and find one to recc out to you, if you want.
Due to lots of subtle pressing from an Australian friend of mine, I've started watching Doctor Who. *grins* And I remembered that you had talked about that show before. I started with the 10th Doctor and I think the second series.
I've only seen like 2 or 3 episodes so far, but *squee!* I can't wait to see more! Do you have any favorite episodes from David Tennant being the Doctor? If so, which ones and why?
I really enjoyed the 9th doctor, and was so attached that I never grew very fond of the 10th, and don't really have any favorite episodes. That said, Blink is really, really good.
Well, I've been busy, but that's nothing new. Figurative Painting + Watercolor II = staying up 'till three almost two days a week. But some of the classes I take next day don't happen until noon, so it balances out.
I also think I have a curse, or something cosmically drastic as such. Several weeks ago, my old laptop died, two days ago my iPod went wacky and then my cell phone died.
I am also thinking about roleplaying a character on the RP Kannagra, mostly due of the sheer hilarity of that place. Particularly with someone playing Iroh saying, "Let's have tea, everyone!" and Pein says "Is your tea MADE OF DEATH BY ANY CHANCE??" D:<
Panfandom crossovers are just too damn funny for me to pass up, I suppose.
Sorry, no brownie icons. But looking at the ones chomiji and sureasdawn procured is making me hungry...
As for topics, I've recently discovered Avatar: TLA, and I swear it's the best American children's cartoon in YEARS. I love that it doesn't shy away from good plot for fear of upsetting parents (Sokka gets high on FUCKING PEYOTE in one episode. Accidently. BUT STILL a cartoon character on American television was shown TRIPPING. To me, that speaks to a great degree of artistic freedom in the series). The gender dynamics are great. And I love how I can't categorize the setting. It's some strange, wonderful place between mythology, anime-fantasy, and even steampunk in some places. And the animation has had WAY more work put into it than most other American cartoons. And thanks to you, I shipped Zutara before I knew who they were. Long story short, I love it.
So, as per the natural progression of events, I'm looking for good fic now. The fandom is notoriously wacko, and a brief glance at FF.net told me that sifting through pages upon pages seemed like a lost cause...do you have any recs?
BTW, I've already read yours, and they are VERY GOOD, very short but extremely powerful ^_^
I know. I could totally go for a brownie right now. Although, actually, what really sounds good is the strawberry yogurt I froze....

True fact.

It really doesn't. And the deep, complex issues that show is able to explore with grace and delicacy (brainwashing, war, familial troubles) was amazing.

That is what I like to hear. ^_^ If you're looking for more fic, check out my memories. I have a TON.

And I'm sorry you have to be up until 2 two days a week that has to suck.
...but not as much as losing an iPod and a laptop and a cell phone. My condolences.

Icons? You rang?
Either of these suit?

I love the contrast of the white plate and the white border on the first one. Would it be possible to remove the text?

You've got it, although there's a rather large empty space there now.
(Sorry for the time lag - we just got home from being at Katsucon all day.)

And no worries about the time lag - I figured you were off having a great time doing something fun.
