although I didn't buy the epicness of his speech. It was all about how Finn was 'special' instead of the more realistic and quite convincing argument that Glee is still his best shot at a scholarship and regardless of if he has a baby on the way or not, he wants to get out of that town.

I hadn't been able to figure out what had bugged me about that speech before but this is definitely it.
