Woe Is I
The highlight of my day is probably going to be watching the latest episode of TVD and/or possibly going to the library to pick up a book, which leaves me a lot of time to lie on the couch bemoaning my fate and hitting the refresh on my email account.
So talk to me flist. Ask me questions, order me to beta, query my about pairings, link me to things, you know the drill.

What are your predictions and/or hopes for Mockingjay? Which of the past winners did you like? What do you like about Katniss, what do you dislike? What parts of this tale to you feel we dont' need to see anymore of? (and which do we need more of)?

I think we're going to find out more about Cinna, and I have a feeling we are going to see Katniss is some kind of HG area again.
Which of the past winners did you like?
I have had a soft spot for Johanna since her one-line description in the first book, and by the end/on reread of Catching Fire, Finnack grew on my a lot. And I've always had a fondness for Haymitch and his relationship with Katniss.
What do you like about Katniss, what do you dislike?
What really makes Katniss stand out to me is her sheer ruthlessness. This is DEFINITELY a surviver and she is absolutely believable as the one forced to provide for her family at a very, very young age. Honestly, I can't think of a thing about her I don't adore.

I think we've seen enough of the Capital. We know why it needs to be brought down and we've seen enough of it's innerworkings that it's not a faceless evil, but we have DEFINITELY seen enough of it. I want to see more of the other Districts and more of the rebellion itself.

I hope we do find out more about Cinna (and hopefully more than just something about a grusome death or something...I mean, even if he did die, something else too). I agree there will probably be some sort of HG area again too. Not sure how or why, but then again wasn't expecting it for Catching Fire either. Wouldn't have thought it needed ahead of time for the plot, but I loved that part because it seemed to focus in on basics and move the plot. Probably because all Katniss attention narrows down to one goal, as opposed to all the emotional yoyoning over the love triangle and the intrigue (um, yoyoing sounds bad, but I don't mean it that way...)
I'm hoping that we get to see the rebellion too.

Same here. If he just dies, and that's all we learn that's new about him, I'm going to be really disappointed.

Going back into the arena in CF grew on me - and now I think it would be a waste to lose the symmatry if the area isn't used again.

Oh, I agree (and I say this as someone who loved CF). I think the finale of that book really honed her.
