Iron Man 2
Was actually better than I expected. It was a solid sophomore effort.
Things I liked:
-Tony still being an entitled, arrogant dick.
-The humor
-Natasha's fight (which was the most epic scene in the movie, seriously)
-Pepper seeing that both the secondary bad guy is arrested and that the innocent bystanders had a way to get home.
-That Pepper and Tony didn't get into a relationship until she wasn't working for him.
Things I didn't like:
-New Rhodney
-The fact that in most of those action scenes A FUCKTON of people would have died and that this was never mentioned.
-Pepper not doing as much in this movie.
-The pacing lag in the middle.
Also, I'm all caught up with The Vampire Diaries, and I have to admit, this show is so much fun to watch now that I have let my inner Damon/Elena shipper off her leash. Then I get to squee about him sitting on the couch so he can have her feet in his lap and her being his best/only friend and ~significant glances~ that they give each other over Stefan's shoulder. Also, I'm enjoying Bonnie playing her own game, even if her conversation with Caroline (who is still boring) was so incredibly wooden and blocky that I was almost laughing at the awkwardness of it. But I must say, I love the pacing of this show - that two episodes after he's introduced, we know who Elena's father is, the build up to Katherine's reappearance.

*blinks*
Did I REALLY just read that right?!?! *checks again* yep. *is dead*
SERIOUSLY?! They get together/into a relationship?! If so, I think you've just made my entire week!

I interpret that as him going 'let's get married' and her going 'I'd be an idiot to even date you, what the hell am I doing?'

..New Rhodney..Yeah, no. Original please.
Guh. I love him playing Tony Stark. I can't help but be drawn to his arrogant assholeness because it's somehow amazingly wrongly hot. Questioning own sanity.

That sentence was said many times in our household after the movie. She was so cool.

I know! Downey makes it believable that all these women (and smart women to) would jump his entitled bones.

I've fully embraced the D/E shipper in me, but people are getting me worried about Damon/Bonnie. It seemed random in the books and I think it'd be random in the series. And I'm worried about who's gonna be dying on Thursday. Because there are select few whom I want to live through to season 2.

Yeah, I remember the ~significant look~ between Bonnie and Damon last episode, and it make me go wtf?
As for someone dying... frankly, they've already killed off a lot of people I love. But if they kill off Anna, I'm going to shank a bitch.

Not to mention that he whined for more money in the sequel, though his was the first IM1 contract they had finalized and he made more than anyone else in the entire movie.

/nerdrage.
And yeah, the action scenes were a wee bit over the top. On the whole I agree with your assessment!

Was it one afternoon? I thought the cuts were supposed to represent time passing.

I admit, I was hoping that whiplash would win in their first fight.

The people who would have died but were never mentioned was especially irking me. They do this a lot in superhero movies though.
Also, loved loved loved the part with Cap'n America's shield and the teaser for Thor that played after the creds (though not as awesome as Nick Fury after the creds in the last one). :D

They do but it still really annoys me. So much story possibilities and chances for realism... completely ignored.
And really, what could be as awesome as Fury?

Seriously! I love when Tony is all, "Do I look at your eye or the patch?" Good times.
"I've Got My Eye On You."
Such an assholish thing to say. So very Tony. And Fury handled it so well.
