I had a terrible headache yesterday and spent most of today wandering around in a fog. I'm currently killing time until I can go to bed.

Those of us who don't participate in the annual Remix challenge -- and, hell, those of us who do -- sometimes wonder which one of our fics someone might remix, and if so, what they might do with it. Teeelllll meeeeee.

This is especially poignant for someone who has been ineligible for remix for about three years running.

Let's see...I would probably remix the fic you wrote, "5 Times Richard and Kahlan Were Possessed by Dead Lovers and One Time They Weren't" and expand on the scene where she was possessed by the abusive husband and Richard was possessed by the murdered housewife to include them talking about it and coming to terms with the terror.

Either that, or I would write a conversation between Sokka and Azula as described in "Enemy, Mine".

God, that would be so epic. Because there is just a TON of different ways to play around with that idea. Plus, I adore the gender role fuckery in that snippet.

The you have where Soul is playing the piano when/after Maka's mother has died. There is a lot of space for talking about what happened both before (Maka's mom? And she died? how? What is Maka thinking? etc) and after (what effect did Soul's playing have.). It one of my favorite pieces of yours too.

of course, that would require writing Soul Eater which I've never done before, but hey. First time for everything.

You're right, that would be a great story to remix for exactly all the reasons that you mentioned - there is just a hell of a lot of space to play around and dig into things I didn't even touch.
