This season of Burn Notice started slow, but these last few episodes just knocked it out of the park.

I adored "Past & Future Tense." I really like it when they bring up the fact that Michael Westen is a covert op legend and that scene where he's speaking Russian and interrogating that curly-haired operative.... so hot. I'm no expert, but his Russian accent sounded excellent.

Kendra was amazing. She reminded me of Faith in all the best ways and I'm sorry she was only around for two episodes.

And then there was "Where There's Smoke" which could just as aptly been named "The Women In Michael Westen's Life Are Total Badasses." Seriously, just before we watched this episode I was talking with my mom about part of Mike's super-spy-ness is clearly genetic and then Madeline proves butter wouldn't melt in her mouth once again. I about died in that scene where Jesse and Michael are freaking out in the car.

And Fi. Fi, Fi, Fi, my darling. Not since Sydney Bristow have I seen a women kick so much ass while wearing a dress I would kill to own. She was so amazing this episode, from willingly getting kidnapped to manipulating and flirting with the kidnappers to improvising bombs that I don't even know what to say. Hats off to you, Ms Glenanne.

I also want to hold Burn Notice up as an example of a show that is doing a great job transitioning UST to RST while still giving the romantic leads realistic issues. I adored how Fi and Michael are just kind of together now, without anyone saying much about it, and that the tension is about choices Michael is making and not will-they/won't-they.

On that subject, I like Jesse's crush on Fi (smart boy!) and look forward to seeing where that goes. My prediction is that the finale sweep is going to involve Jesse finding out that Michael burned him, and possibly Jesse and Fi splitting from Team Westen.

I love good foreign accents. Love them. You're right about Fiona, initially when I watched this series I wasn't so crazy about her character, but she's grown on me, as well as the transition of UST to RST while holding on to the realistic issues. It's better than I initially thought it would be.

What hooked me and kept me watching was the narrative approach, I love it so much! Glad to see that the series itself is progressing well too.

I will admit (and I think the writers have too) that it took them a season or so to figure out Fi's character and start writing her right.

I deeply loved every bit about this episode...EXCEPT the Jesse liking Fi thing. Was that always there and I just didn't see it? I know the two of them had a good time together, and they share a similar outlook of shoot first, ask questions later. But I didn't feel the past episodes had him actually crushing on her. Am I crazy?
That being said, I loved Madeline's speech to Jesse. "Sometimes they love each other. Sometimes they hate each other. But always each other." Such a perfect description of the two of them.
I hope this doesn't ruin the new vibe the show has. I was kind of worried about Jesse at first, but i'm enjoying what he adds to the show. A lot.
(Jesse and Michael coming down the rope in the bank vault was HOT)

You're not. They did have a similar outlook and Jesse was clearly pleased with Fi, but the significant glance while she and Mike kisses was the first real hint. (In fact, I wish they'd had that in one episode and then had Madeline's talk in another so it didn't feel so rushed.)

I just caught up yesterday, and wow, yeah, the last few eps were really really good. :)

I love when he speaks with a Russian accent (or any accent).

Kendra was an interesting character. My fave parts where when Michael was "flirting" with her, and Fi was all jealous. (M: "She threatened to kill me!" -- Fi: "I could do that!") :P

Ha, the car scene was great! I was actually starting to get worried...

I seriously love the costume designer on this show. Especially whoever does Fi's clothes. They are so perfect for her. (sorry, I'm a bit obsessed). But yeah, Fi was amazing in that ep!! :D

I have to say, I don't think I know any other show that has a relationship quite like theirs. And like you said, I think it's awesome that they're kind of together now, instead of the will-they/won't-they. It's a nice change.

I know, that was amazing. In fact, now I want to see Fi and Kendra flirt/fighting.

So much agreement.
