With the release of the finale book of The Hunger Games Trilogy imminent, it seems like an excellent time for a comment meme to whet fandom's appetite. (Plus I just finished my third reread of the first two books and yet still want more!)

How To Play

Some of the description in this is just amazing. Even if I wasn't at all acquainted with the fandom, I'd love this, just because of lines like "scrawl of nets" and "beautifully chaotic" and sdhfbdsg guh.

Then there's the emotion and everything is terribly heartbreaking but it's so true. Wonderful. :D

i.

Finnick does not say please simply because he doesn’t have to.

(Fact: the face pretty much says it all. Really.)


ii.

Finnick is to Annie as Finnick is to pretty. He will hold her with his arms around her waist and his skin draped in her scent - but we all know who does the supporting.

(Fiction: Finnick does not think he needs anyone.)


iii.

Finnick will say don’t let me go because Annie is Annie, and she controls the strings to his heart, as clichéd as it sounds. She controls the strings to his heart and a pragmatist might say it all comes down to his survival.

(Fact: this is something of the truth.)

Finnick is passionate, Finnick is strong, Finnick is everything all at once when it comes to Annie.

Finnick will hold Annie in his arms and on the days where she is not Annie, but the merest slip of someone he once knew, he will want to cry - but Finnick doesn’t. Finnick isn’t weak like that.
