Why The "You Suck" Scene Was So Satisfying

Besides the fact that Damon getting smacked around always brings the warm fuzzy feelings and Caroline richly deserved to beat that boy down, I love love love the way it harks back to "You're undead to me."



Damon is summoning her and the darkness is looming, threatening, while she has vulnerable posture and is scantly-clad.

And then we get this:



Same setting, yet the light fills the hallway behind Caroline, she's dressed to kick ass and take names (in those fucking epic shoes) and her posture is full-on superheroine.

That is the kind of full-circle I like.
