Sometimes I think the costuming department for HP lacks imagination -- like their almost fuck up of wanting to put Lucius in a muggle business suit.

Yeah.... I think it's hard, though, because a lot of those characters would look fucking ridiculous if they were all wearing robes, as described in the books.

Good point. It's probably best not to make them look ridiculous so they can hit a wider audience than just the book readers.

Agreed.

(And actually, I wish they had done a bit more to make the movies comprehensible if you hadn't already read the books, because I really don't think the HP movies function very well as movies in their own right.)
