Multi-Fandom Cocktail Party!
–I finished The Battle of the Labyrinth. And I honestly don't know who I ship more: Percy/Annabeth or Annabeth/Luke.
–I watched the premier of Glee, to which my main reaction was: why am I still watching this show? Also, have a gif:

Quinn and the new football coach were basically the only things worth watching this episode. FYI, my hate for Will is growing and I want to bang my head against the desk due to the epic fail of Rachel/Finn.
–HIMYM was enjoyable, if not earth shattering. Yeah, the writers are clearly being total cock-teases about us meeting the mother, but you know, I expect and have accepted that, so I can enjoy other things about the episode like:
a.) the OC's Summer getting in a happy, successful (and HOT) lesbian relationship.
b.) "Robin, seriously, I love you, but it's like you have squiggly, cartoon odor lines coming off you."
I found Robin and Barney's back and forth adorable. This is how I like them best, when they're bros with a side of subtext.
–Community was fun, especially once the first, second-hand-embarrassing third of the episode was over. I cannot express how glad I am that this didn't lead into an extended version of 'let's crush Annie's heart' OR 'ha ha, let's throw metaphoric pig's blood on Britta,' and I'm hoping that Jeff/Annie will continue to be one or two shippy episodes per season. Also, I'm quite impressed that a.) they went with Britta just getting caught up in the competition and b.) they went somewhere I have yet to see fanfic do, in all the dozens of post-Pascal's Triangle Revisited fics I've read. Also, most unsexy kiss ever.
–And now, my vampiric love and favorite show of the entire year (summer or winter season, take your pick), The Vampire Diaries:
Oh my fucking god, Elena clearly has taken tips from Princess Leia on fuck-you kisses. I mean when she just laid that one on Stefan right in front of Damon.... and it just went on and on. So hot, so bitchy, so awesome. Katherine would be proud.
I'm not thrilled with Caroline's new, heavy black eyeliner but her and Stefan's interactions are choice. (HE'S THE BEST VAMP!DADDY EVER, OMG. Seriously, Bill, you should be taking lessons from this boy.)
Now, I can already tell that Bonnie is going to get hated on for her behavior in this episode which I loved. Not because I enjoyed seeing her be so "witchy" to her friend, but because I think that it's wonderfully in-character for Bonnie to be unable to see past 'vampire' to 'best friend' in any real way. First, I respect that Bonnie is holding her anti-vamp line (and she has a point. Caroline has been a vampire for, what, two days? And she's already killed someone). Secondly, on a narrative level, it's really, really interesting to have Bonnie in a position of opposition to Elena and her vampire boyfriends and now Bonnie's BF Caoline. Oh, show, I love you so hardcore.
Ooooooh, werewolves that look like werewolves! So awesome! ...now, if only they weren't connected with the Lockwoods...
Alaric's hair is poofy and dumb. Jenna's jewelry is over the top and ugly.
And finally,
topaquity ? I don't care what Elena said, there is no fucking way that this is the end of Damon/Elena. IMHO,, this episode could only have been more shippy on the Damon/Elena front if they had made out. To quote Katherine: "That sounds like the beginning of a love story, not the end." Plus, have you seen EVERY SINGLE PROMO PICTURE FOR THIS SHOW? It is all about the love triangle. There is no way that we go through a season of them becoming friends, have Damon fall for Elena, have Elena's doppleganger show up and make out with Damon while pretending to be Elena, have him kill her brother, have him admit he tried to kill her brother, have her say 'it's over' and then have Damon gracefully step back OR have Elena be like 'I hate you, go away' for however many season this show has left. It's just not going to happen.

This x50000. Seriously, I don't know how anyone could view this episode as anything other than a big ol' D/E shipfest. Actually, I think that goes for the season premiere as well. It all screams "WATCH WHILE WE SET UP D/E AND SEND THEM DOWN THE EPIC LOVE PATH!!"
I think even non-shippers can see that, it's so obvious.
As for Stefan and Caroline, I'm just going to copy paste what I said on my journal. They are the single most bestest, adorablest, genuinely intriguingest dynamic that the writers have ever put together. :D

Agreed. I can see not LIKING where the writers are going (and one thing I didn't put into my post is that I think Stefan/Elena is CLEARLY the endgame ship), but for all the amazing things TVD does, I do not think it's going to break the bigger tropes/cliches that it's working with. Which means that I'd bet money that we will see more D/E and they will come to a friendship with hints of more, but that Stefan is going to be the person she ends the series with.

They are adorable! I so want her to be the new Lexie.

Still, this is a Kevin Williamson show and Dawson's Creek ended with Joey/Pacey instead of the "soulmates" Joey and Dawson, so who knows?
You know, as I was typing up my comment, Joey/Pacey was the one exception to the expected pairings that I could think of. *ponders.*
MY PREDICTION!
Re: MY PREDICTION!
Re: MY PREDICTION!
*is possibly still bitter about the end of Chosen and never going to expect more from any finale ever*
Re: MY PREDICTION!
Re: MY PREDICTION!
I would support Stefen/Elena or Stefen/other because as characters go, I like Stefan well enough. They're not as sizzling as D/E has been lately, but they're not boring yet either.
Re: MY PREDICTION!
Don't we all. Ian and Nina are SMOKING together.
kinda want them both to die or leave because eventually their presence in her life is going to get her killed or (worse) turned
I admit, I have had the thought: Damon, if you just leave, a lot of problems just vanish.
That said, I wouldn't consider being turned a fate worse than death, and I actually think having Elena turn would be a GREAT way to end the series, especially if it was done with the implication that she was going to go off and have adventures and a decades-long romance with the Salvatore brother of your choice.
