And then I totally wasn't, so you get five days of this meme at once.

Day 21 - A pairing you like and no one else understands why?
Day 22 - A pairing you hate and no one else understands why?

Day 23 - A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out great?

Stefan/Elena/Damon/Katherine.

Now, to qualify: when I say great, I don't mean functional, actually existing, or something that I want to see. What I do mean is that the interaction between these four characters has already and will continue (I trust) to be fantastically interesting and engrossing television.

To answer the question more in the spirit of the thing, Harry/Hermione/Ron is the only trio where I would actually buy them as a functional, happy, threesome, and would actually really enjoy reading about it. (I remember one really sweet fic where they were in a threesome and Hermione was knocked up, and they were like 'we won't know who the daddy is until we see find out what color hair the kid has.')

Day 24 - A crazy love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out badly?

Just about every love triangle ever.

Day 25 - A pairing that was/would-be adorable, but could never work out?

Jayne/Kaylee. Remember when he was hugging himself right outside the med bay while Kaylee was being operated on? Yeah. Adorablenes. That said, I have the same problems with Kaylee being with Jayne that I do with her being with Mal: it's a little too easy (plus Jayne is, you know, not that nice of a person).

Day 26 - A pairing that you hated and ended up loving?

I honestly cannot think of a single pairing where this happened. Flist, can you?

Day 27 - A pairing that you loved and ended up hating?

Oh, boy, I could write an essay. Most recently, I stopped watching Bones because the handling of the Brennan/Booth relationship frustrated me so badly, but the shining example (and what I use when people go 'I want my pairing to be canon!') is Remus/Tonks. After reading OoTP, I sensed subtext for those two, as did multiple other people in fandom. There was deliciously in-character fic, there were adorable fanarts, it was a blissful time of shipper happiness.

...And then Rowling actually wrote Remus and Tonks into a relationship, in the process completely destroying their personalities and raping their characterizations.

Good times.

Day 28 - A pairing that you will never understand?
Day 29 - What ship had the best proposal?
Day 30 - Your favorite ship forever and ever and ever?
