Day 27 - OTP That You Always Forget To Talk About

THE ENDLESS SEXUALLY CHARGED BANTER. THE GENUINE AFFECTION. THE STRAIGHT UP UST. THE FACT THAT HE IS CLEARLY JUST AS INTO HER AS SHE IS INTO HIM.

I feel that what saves this ship, what makes it fantastic, is that the writers were 100% aware of all the ways in which the characters where in love with slightly different people than the one in front of them; and the ways in which they were drawn and in relationships with the people who were in front of them. In other news, I've started watching Castle again (I'm up to episode 2x15). I really adore it when Beckett fangirls about things - it's such a nice character note, and really makes her stand out from other well-tailored, by-the-book law enforcement ladies. I puzzled greatly over what pairing to put here but talking about books made me realize the only answer I could give, the only pairing where it almost physically hurts that they're not together:

Cormac/Kitty from Carrie Vaugh's Kitty & The Midnight Hour book series. (AKA one of my favorite ongoing urban fantasy series.) I'm trying to imagine how to put this into fandom terms everyone can understand.

Today, I'll be a little more verbose about this question than I was yesterday, especially given that I have two answers.

Questionable Content, Faye x Angus. I really enjoyed Angus when he just came in and liked that he enjoyed Faye's sarcasm and vinegar but once she started screwing around with Sven I didn't think anything would come of it. A couple kisses and one honest-to-god date later, I am quite glad to be wrong.

Princess Tutu, Mytho x Rue. Rue is a classic Dark Magical Girl and I'll be honest, I did not expect her to get the happy ending she did. Not only did she end up with the love of the adorkable heroine, she gained the love of the heroine's crush. While I'm not a big Mytho fan, he was what Rue wanted more than anything, and I wanted Rue to get whatever her little raven-heart desired.
