Unpopular Opinions Meme!

Give me a fandom and I'll tell you three unpopular opinions about it. If you give me a show/book/movie/etc that I'm not fannishly active about, I'll give you three things I dislike about the media in question instead.

1) Well, I never thought that Elena was boring! I think that she's an extraordinary person trying to be ordinary (mostly because her extraodinariness is showing through the supernatural-induced trauma conga line the show's putting her through)

2) I like Damon much better than Stefan. But I never thought that Stefan was boring. I think that he and Elena are uninteresting together... but that's mostly because I feel their relationship was severely rushed, not because of the characters themselves.

3) Um, I'm a Damon/Elena shipper. But I really don't think that Elena will love him back, the way he needs her to, until he's helped himself. Gaining her love isn't the cause of his evolution, but the reward for it. I hope, anyway. Because the way Damon's been acting in the first few s2 eps, at least, he mostly certainly doesn't deserve her. I'm definitely in this for the long haul-slash-slow burn where these two are concerned.

I know. The doppleganger has really elevated her into someone who it makes sense to build a show around (instead of just a randomly special Ordinary Girl who is capnip to vampires) and I adore how clever she is. When she doesn't know something, she damn well gets her evil vampire double to tell her.
