Give me a fandom and I'll tell you three unpopular opinions about it. If you give me a show/book/movie/etc that I'm not fannishly active about, I'll give you three things I dislike about the media in question instead.
1.) I find it very hard to be too emotionally invested in how Bill mistreats Sookie. But every time he fails as Jessica's maker, I want to stake his ass.
2.) Jason fucking Stackhouse.
3.) That Jessica's virginity issue was never resolved. How are she and Hoyt working around it? How's their sex life? What about plastic surgery? Is there any that she could get her hymen removed?
1.) Elena is not boring, especially in the first season, when she was clearly a girl struggling to enjoy life again and frustrated that she wasn't who she used to be.
2.) Stefan is also not boring. Admittedly, he's a little melodramatic, but it clearly runs in the family.
3.) Elena loving Damon would likely help him much less than fandom would have us believe.
1.) Alexis' subplot was kind of pointless. Having it be Ashley was the most dull resolution and I kept wanting it to tie into the main plot somehow.
2.) The switcheroo with the killer at the end. That happens every episode, and it gets old, even in an otherwise tight and suspenseful forty minutes.
3.) The more wasn't done with Castle being similar to the killers, given the glee he takes in murder and trickery.
That said, BANG UP EPISODE, WRITERS. I loved that they brought in the father of one of the earlier murder victims, and the whole thing was just very taut and suspenseful, especially those scenes in the box with Beckett. (Although, really, I think Ryan should have died in this episode and Castle should be in intensive care.)
Regarding last week's episode (which I also really enjoyed), even though I knew it was coming, I adored Castle's poleaxed look when Beckett nonchalantly tells him that she's break him out of jail. In that vein, what do you think of Castle renewing his relationship with one of his ex wifes?

Or, if you're feeling game, The Hunger Games. Which I just finished and am now DYING to discuss.

It's why I'm always really, really careful to use the full acronym, TVD.
