Okay, I was going to spam you guys last night but then my computer got hot, I turned it off, and then I fell asleep before I could turn it back on. All in all, that was probably for the best. So bring on the Sunday morning posts!
As some of you may know, Burn Notice returned this week. Now, I'm not sure about what USA is thinking with regards to scheduling (BN is one of its most popular summer shows, and this year they had it air during the summer and then have another five episodes during the fall).*
Anyway, the episode itself was awesome. I about died when Fi kicked Michael and he woke up from a coma. That is love, people. It was also a hilarious shout-out to the pilot.
I'm a big fan of episodes where Michael Westen, the character, gets to showcase how good an actor he is (and Jeffrey Donovan is totally a good enough actor to pull it off. Honestly, I would argue that he and Nina Debrov are the best actors working in television right now).
I have a feeling that I'm supposed to read Jesse setting off the bomb as Jesse crossing a line. While I think that's a good character development direction and keeps the group dynamic interesting, I think they choose a bad example, given that a.) it was, by far, the solution that keeps the most people safe and b.) Fi is the queen of the brute force solution, so I cannot read her slow-mo reaction shot as anything put grief for all her pretty things.
*I would actually really love to know if splitting up the season like that draws in more viewers or helps keep the viewer numbers steady or if it's more a question of scheduling shooting or what.

That was Ted's response not too long ago to a similar question on Twitter. *shrugs* Personally, I just want In Plain Sight back!

And I think it's really cool that USA's program direction is so available to the person on the street.
