1. Reply to this post with the word "icons!" and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of Icon Squee!

[livejournal.com profile] stainofmylove  asked me about.....

This was one of the first TVD icons I uploaded and I still love it to bits. First of all, it's from one of my favorite episodes and it's just a great scene between Damon and Elena (when Elena wakes up in Georgia after her car accident and she kind of crumples and Damon wooshes to her side to support her). I love how [livejournal.com profile] love_square  cropped this; so that these two characters seem to be both looking at each other and away from each other, and Damon is 'below' Elena, which fits the power dynamics between them (at this point) better than the literal screencap did.

This is my thoughtful, sad icon, that I tend to use a lot for talking about The Hunger Games. I love how sexy and vulnerable the nape of the model's neck looks.

I love bloody girls; either because they've been hurt or because they just delivered a righteous smackdown. How, then, could I resist an icon of Jessica really embracing her vampiric nature and ripping apart one of the werewolves who'd come to kill Sookie?

This is another icon that sums up an element I loved of an episode. I found Alisha's silence in 2x05 really affecting; those times when she didn't say anything but you could just tell her was feeling a shitload of stuff that she couldn't (for various reasons) share. That, and I thought her wig and the superhero outfits in general were AMAZING. Plus, Simon's bare back. *rarw*

I'm not the biggest fan of the text on this icon but I think this promo image did a fantastic job of summing up the show: Cameron and John are in a fast car, headed towards the future, but looking back, which ties into the time-travel themes of TSCC.

Yes.

Also, you too make me wish I had time for this show, if just to see Jessica's development.

I would not recommend True Blood; Jessica's arc is done well, but it's close to the only one.
