Thank you so much for posting this link. Her commentary rings very, very true with me, and I really have no words for how effing stupid that law is. Criminally ridiculous.
Honestly, I probably would too. We might be built to have babies, but pregnancy is fucking HARD and dangerous and does irreversible things to your body. And guess what, that's not okay with me!
Forget what it does to your body – I do NOT want a kid right now, and even if I DID want to raise a child, I would have a really hard time justifying bringing another human onto this overpopulated planet.
Gah, I totally left out part of my thought process, which was that even if you gave the kid up for adoption, it would still be a ridiculous amount of time, money and pain to go through.
For a mistake that you never wanted in the first place.
