Nikita Finale Thoughts

I was not expecting the finale to be as good as it was.

I thought the episode itself was really entertaining and I think it brilliantly sets up next season. Nikita and Michael are together on the run (which, seriously, HOW CUTE WERE THEY), Alex is going down a dark road (which is a brilliant choice for her and was foreshadowed beautifully - and how happy am I that we'll likely never see her dumb boyfriend again? so happy), and Amanda is running division (fuck yes, give that actress more to do). Notice how all the major players are female? And all the men are in support roles, basically? Hell yes.

I feel like I should have totally called the set up with the last Guardian. I did think it was all far too convenient. :D

Normally Birkoff comes off really annoying, but I enjoyed him so very much in this episode. Michael/Nikita/Birkoff seems to have all this backstory that I want to see! :D

Amanda as the head of Division will be amazing. And Alex's boyfriend seems to have disappeared - literally. I have a feeling he'll be popping back up at some point.

Frankly, I was so frustrated by that episode with the last guardian that I though the ease they had with division was just bad writing.

And I also enjoyed Birkoff a ton this episode - I loved his conversation with Michael.

Oh man I was literally keysmashing like crazy on my plurk when Amanda showed up in the ~shadow lair. She is by far my favorite thing about that show. Birkhoff was amazing too. I like that the show demonstrates different ways of rebelling.

You're right, the show does show different ways to take a stand.

And yeah, I'm thrilled Amanda is going to have more to do this year.

I agree that it's awesome to have strong female characters on this show. I love it!

I kinda wanted for Alex to be happy with Nate, but then, the new storyline sounds way better of course. ;) But actually I really wish for Thom to return.

I liked that we got to see a little bit of Alex being happy with Nikita this season and I think the show will END with Alex and Nikita on good terms... but I think I'll enjoy them as antagonists for a bit.

God, I can't tell you how happy Thom's return would make me.
