*clears throat*
So, I posted this weekend, and then accidentally put my post under private. It's now friends-locked here.
And after all that happened, I went to Cassis on Friday, which was fabulous - Cassis looks like every little Mediterranean town you see in the movies, and I spent the day lying on the beach reading.
It was beyond heavenly.

Stupid LJ...
Anyhow, I also wanted to share - I finally did it.

It's changed since the last version you got.

Also, I really like your new icon. Totally envious of your iconning skillz. Nothing like the icon specifically made for your multichaptered fic. ^_^

....and a plotbunny slouches into bethleham.
Speaking of, did you get the fic I sent you in e-mail yesterday?
no subject
And yes, I did. And I suck because I kept meaning to email you about it and kept forgetting when I was at the computer. XD But I quite enjoyed it, even for a Doku/Yaone fic. XD

And don't worry about it - I have about a billion things I haven't posted yet because of internet issues and getting doc files in the right font so they don't look horrific when I past them into lj... And I almost wish you hadn't gotten it considering that I reread it today and oh my god where there some typos.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been catching a number of typos in the Dresden books, of all things. I think they need to fire the editor.
Hell, when you posted a line from EL1 that you liked, I caught a typo there. XD

Apart from the standard typos and sentences that don't read correctly or are really bad fragments, etc, etc. I mean, as writers, we all do it. But that's what professional editors are for. And hell, what are they paying this guy for??
no subject
I'm imagining my mother readint this - dear god she's have SUCH things to say about the editor.
And apparently, they're paying him for nothing. Goddamn I want that job.
no subject
Remind me (if you remember...)
In the first book, after Dresden really pisses off Bianca... Wasn't the name of her assistant that she starts feeding on (and ultimately devours completely) Paula?
Because Paula gets mentioned again during the masquerade....and then the ghost that shows up later, that was supposedly the assistant is named Rachel.... Was it just because I was sick and missed something or did the editor totally miss that one?

God damn, I need to go back to bed.
no subject
Speaking of, did I tell you about that one night when I was having trouble sleeping, so I started plotting a fight scene in bed, which resulted in me tossing and turning and then out of the dark came -
"you're really restless tonight, huh?"
me: "ummm yes. Just can't seem to get to sleep, for some weird reason."
no subject
No, you didn't tell me about that. That is a bit creepy (but then, I'm used to sharing a bed, so I'm kind of used to it. But I can definitely see where that's weird....)

*fantazises about having a room to myself*
no subject
Then back to school and in a bigger room to share at least. :D
Look, I'm trying to find SOMETHING positive here... XD
no subject
And then I don't buy tp because I'm curious as to whether she'll follow through, and we end up running out and using paper towels (that I also bought) until I crack and buy more.
God I hate being a wife, especially when I'm not even getting orgasms for it. I don't LIKE being the person who's soley responsible for that kind of thing.
*shakes head*
I mean, I'm the one buying cleaning supplies, and you know, reading the email CEA sends up letting us know that we're going to have someone check that our apartment is bein kept up to stuff.
...and you didn't ask for that rant, sorry.
But yes, I'll have almost too weeks of a room to myself, and then I'll go back to sharing, but I would be nearly as bad because we won't be sharing/responsible for a bathroom and a kitchen, which is the main lingering frustration. Well, that and she seems to think it's okay to keep her sack of dirty clothes behind the door on MY SIDE OF THE ROOM. JUST PUT IN ABOVE YOUR CLOSET LIKE I DO, FOOL, AND STOP ENCROCHING ON MY SPACE! AND I HAVE MORE ROM BECAUSE I BROUGH A FRACTION OF WHAT YOU DID!
Damn it, I was trying to be positive too. Wow, we really suck at that, don't we? I think we should play to our strenghts and stick with the bitchy comments. ^_^
no subject
*ahem* Must I pop you? I think we equally rant to each other. Don't even worry about it, hon.
One of my old roommates was like that. She'd promise to buy the next round of toilet paper, and we'd be using napkins before I would break down and buy it.
And even now, I'm not the one solely responsible. That's why Jim and I go to the store together.
The CEA comes up and checks on your room?
Have you kicked them into checking on that WiFi you're paying for lately?
Two weeks alone will be very nice, I'm sure. Because at least, in that instant, it's your mess and your mess alone to clean. No more cleaning up after her.
Oh, for the most part, I suck at positive thinking. I know it. I dare not try to pretend I'm a positive person - I know otherwise. :D
btw, I'd be throwing her bag of dirty clothes on her bed when she's not in the room. If she questions, I'd say it was in the way of the door (if that's the case anyway...doors not opening all the way are a strange pet peeve of mine...)
no subject
Would that be any way to treat your romantically inclinded boyfriend?
And yeah, being soley responsible for that kind of thing sucks. I'm used to either being responsibe for what I use (i.e. college) or it being a partnership (i.e. at home with mom.)
I'm not used to this leech.
I'm not paying for wifi - they normally take the money out of my saftey deposite, which I don't get until two months after I leave, and I'm going to make damn sure before I go that they know not to charge me.
Sometimes I'm really good at positive thinking. Othertimes, not so much.
And I do. Whenever I go to do excises, I move it to her side of the room, were it lingers for a while, and then she moves it back.
*smiles passive agressively*
And it's not so much that it blocks the door, it's that it takes up a chunck of 'my' space and there is no reason why she should keep her dirty clothes on my side of the room. Especially when she has a perfectly good top of the closet to keep them.

I was lucky enough to never have to share a room prior to marriage. (Now I share a bed and discovered this morning, as I lay awake, part of my sleeping issue - I seem to get kneed in the back quite a bit.) But I did have to share communal space, and dear god....I stayed in my room most of the time. They could not/would not keep it clean. And I finally got to the point that I refused to do it for them, just so they could turn around and trash it an hour later.
I know being in the same bedroom is a different story, but dear god, I would have gone postal by now.
no subject
Who says I haven't? Your roomates sound horrific, by the way.
And I have no idea what to say about the sleeping in the same bed thing - but that line about getting kneed in the back cracked me up. Poor baby.
no subject
Yeah, it wasn't like it was terribly painful, or even enough to wake me up...but it was enough to keep me awake as I was already thoroughly irritated that it was 4 in the morning and I couldn't get back to sleep.
Yay! Doctor's appointment in 2 hours!
Course, this means I likely won't get back to sleep....oh well.
