How do you feel about multi-shipping? D'you ever have multiple conflicting OTPs?

I am a HUGE fan of multi-shipping. SHIP ALL THE PAIRINGS! That said, I wouldn't say I ever have conflicting OPTs, because if I'm OTP about one pairing, while I might ship one character with someone else, I've never shipped with the same intensity that I ship the OPT.

For you: Do you feel that shipping is intrinsic to how you enjoy media?

Shipping most definitely enhances my enjoyment of media. It improves my understanding of characters. How X relates to Y, etc. I'm very, very interested in how humans connect with other humans, period. So, in that sense, shipping is intrinsic to my media ~consumption, yes. *g*

I admit, one of the things that affects how I choose media is whether or not I think there is going to be a pairings I'm really into in it.
