Fucking Valetine's Day. Fucking Politics.
Okay, so I am caught up with Parks & Rec and I am.... not thrilled.
I don't know if it's because of my complete burn-out with real-life politics or if something in the episodes themselves bugged me but I really did not enjoy Campaign Ad or Bowling for Votes. And I hate how dumb April seemed. BUT I GUESS THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FUCK FUCKING MORONS LIKE ANDY. (That said, she was the only thing that made Bowling for Votes worth watching and she looked ridiculously smoking in the Valentine's Day episode.)
I was a bit more entertained by Operation Ann but I hate hate hate the thought of Ann and Tom together. Like, loathe it. Remember one episode ago when he was whining about his finger? For Ann, he would basically be Andy redux. If you really need A Man on Valentine's Day, date Ron fucking Swanson. Also, as a moral for a Valentine's Day episode, I would much rather have 'sometimes you're alone on Valentine's day and your friends are all in love and it sucks' than 'give that lame dude you turned down 1,873 times a try - something good might happen.' (Truefax: I have been the girl who is alone on Valentine's Day when everyone else is in love before and it sucks but giving that lame dude that I turned down 1,873 times WOULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE MISTAKE. WHICH I HAD ENOUGH SPINE NOT TO MAKE.) And I know that, like, Ann and Tom where having fun together but making it romantic makes me throw up a little in my mouth.
