OCTOBER 30TH IS THE LAST DAY TO VOTE FOR CLINT/NATASHA.
Look, I don't even have anything new to say about Clint/Natasha (I figure if you're reading my journal, you already know), and I do not have time this evening to write kinky porn in an attempt to coax people to vote but what I am going to do is talk about Natasha Alianova Romanoff. (I read The Name of the Rose today and it ripped my heart out of my chest. I will post more coherently about that comic later.)
Here is something that I absolutely love about Natasha that I've noticed from the brief selection of comics reading: she influences the woman around her in positive ways - she has a habit of saving lost girls. I love how a pivotal part of The Things They Say About Her
involves an abused girl Natasha rescued rescuing her (with an assist by another Black Widow)
.
I love that in The Name Of The Rose (besides all the other fabulously feminist parts and this fantastic bit, the intro story is
about Natasha rescuing a girl-weapon like she used to be and that Natasha set up a date with her BF in part so that she could threaten an abusive husband.
Natasha has positive relationships with her ex-boyfriend's wife!
I love that Natasha lives every week like it's shark week.
Natasha made the Russian ballet... AND the Russian Olympic Gymnastics team.

Sadly, though, I have pretty much regretted every fandom purchese (that wasn't the media itself) that I've ever made, so... I put a ban on myself with regards to buying fandom-specific things.
