Entry tags:

Oh! Outrage!

If you tagged your fic 'Steve/Darcy' AND 'pre-slash' I can fucking guarantee, you are DOING SOMETHING TERRIBLY WRONG.

(Do not even get me started on my hatred of the tag 'pre-slash.')

I'm curious if a general pre-ship tag would bug you as much.

It bugs me a FRACTION less. But is still really annoying.

I mean, I think it really ultimately depends on how you define gen. I think it can be a pretty useful tag, especially when you're dealing with long simmering couples in canon. If a couple is not together, but there's clearly UST and you've tagged it with the ship, I think you're almost obligated to mention that they're not together together in the fic.

But mostly, I think it's a different strokes thing.

I can understand that. Personally, I think there are a lot of different, better ways to describe your fic. Added to which, 'pre-slash?' For a het couple? Seriously, wtf?
