Today was blarg. I'll spare you the details, because I lived today and there is no need to recap.



However, I totally feel the need for a distraction, considering that a.) I want fun, fandom-y things to ponder and b.) after being closed for three days, I already know that work is going to be insane tomorrow, so I'm going to need fun, fandom-y questions to ponder.

If you could make one ship in one of your fandoms NOT canon, which would it be?

Also, a while back we were talking about Steve/Darcy and double-dating. First, where have you been reading about Steve and Darcy double-dating with Tony and Pepper? Second, I feel like Steve and Darcy and Jane and Thor would be the most laid-back, easy-going double-date ever. Darcy and Jane and Thor all adore each other already, I think Jane would be like to Captain America (no reason for her not too, and I'm sure she appreciates the tall, blond, man-candy), Thor and Steve already work pretty well together, and Steve is Steve. Seriously, Jane and Steve would be so nice to each other, Thor would be chill with just about anything, and everyone would already love Darcy and get her snark.

If you could make one ship in one of your fandoms NOT canon, which would it be?

I want to say Emma/Henry's Dad, because I have this terrible feeling that they're going to use him to reinforce the One True Love thing they have going on and he's not going to have to do the necessary amount of groveling to be forgiven. However, a ship that's already canon? Rumbelle. I'm getting caught up on Once and I AM SO NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE WRITERS ON THAT ONE. I'd heard bad things but it is so objectively badly done.

Isn't it terrible? I think about how happy I was with "Skin Deep" and how hard I shipped Belle and Rumpel for a period and I just want to kick myself, because it's terrible.

I find Henry's dad kind of hot, and besides Charming, male hotness is limited on Once, so he gets some slack there, but I also share your fear that he won't do nearly enough groveling. Like, there is not justification for abandoning Emma as he did, regardless of what was in the box.

If I though I'd get an honest answer, I'd love to know Pepper Potts' reasons for why working for Tony Stark was appealing for so many years.

What character would you most like to go out to dinner/drinks/coffee with?

Hmm. Probably Bruce Wayne or Haymitch, because the sheer intelligence and ability to fight and to sacrifice for others, all while hiding that behind a rather unappealing public persona, interests me greatly with the complexity of the character. No drinks for Haymitch, naturally.
