Post the first sentence (or three) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!
(I cheated and didn't stick to first sentences.)
From an as-yet untitled Clint/Natasha fic:
She pauses, licks the blood off her mouth, and then turns to look at him.
Barton's sitting up, looking annoyed. He swipes his arm under his nose, wipes away blood.
He's tougher than she expects.
"You're buying the drinks tonight," he says and whatever he sees -or thinks he sees - in her face makes his annoyance shift to amusement. The corner of his mouth tips up and Natasha's stomach roils.
Steve and Darcy pretend to be dating (I still need to figure out why):
"Just be yourself. Well, be the less awesome version of yourself who would actually date me."
"I'd date you," Steve protested.
Lizzie/Darcy for my 'getaway' bingo square:
At 4:27 a.m., January 26th, 2013, William Darcy heard Lizzie charge down the stairs, her footsteps uncharacteristically heavy. It had been over two weeks since his trip to Japan had been cut short, and he'd discovered that the favorite student of Dr. Gardiner who was house-sitting was Lizzie Bennet (who had simultaneously discovered that the house she'd been house-sitting belonged to William and Georgiana Darcy) and his first (self-centered and over-dramatic) thought was that if Lizzie had been going to flee into the night to escape his presence, she would have already done so.
