This Monday's LBD was delightful!



I loved Lizzie's reaction to Pemberely and the line reading on it being a hard call between graduating on time and not seeing Darcy was perfect!

Also, what a great way to introduce Gigi! I also squealed out loud. Gigi is adorable and CLEARLY wants Lizzie and her brother to hook up.

(Also, does anyone know if we have a projection for about how many episodes we have left? I heard the Pemberely arc is going to be about 8-10 episodes long.... and there's not much left after that, right? Do we have an end date yet?)

Gigi actually showed up and I died. It was great.

Hm, well, it sort of depends on how they re-merge the storylines, I think. There's Lydia's eventual thing, and then Catherine has to show up to tell Lizzie to stay away from Darcy and then Bing and Darcy show up and there are reunions and getting togethers. So there's not a ton of book left, but there's a decent amount of events that I imagine they'll want to hit.

But I haven't seen a projected end date. I haven't looked either. I'm in denial that it's going to have to end.

I am so happy that it is going to! Because I love it so, and I LOVE when shows end when I love them, and not when I hate them or don't care anymore.

I don't know if there's anything official out on how long we have till the end, but I'd estimate around April. That will bring it up to a year, which is the same period of time covered in the books.

Although it does depend on where they decide to end it. The last few chapters of the book do sort of skim over the whole engagement/marriage/happily ever after part. It might take it up to a hundred and twenty episodes? Possibly.

I'm guessing, of course, but there at the beginning of the Pemberley arc and that happens about two thirds of the way through. The rest is speculation.

And yes, Gigi was adorable. I knew it was her as soon as I saw her standing off to the side of the screen.

*nods* I feel like the last section of the book has a lot of plot and frankly, I kind of hope LBD takes their time with it. Not dragging it out, but there is A LOT of threads that I'd like to see tied up.

Two more things have recently occurred to me.

Lizzie stated at the beginning of her videos that the vlogs were part of her thesis project, which was supposed to cover one year, so they'll probably stick to that timeline.

Also... depending on how long the Pemberley arc goes for, Lizzie and Darcy's final Pemberley scene could take place on Valentine's Day.

Which would be, yes, clichéd, but also poetic.
